1971 MINI Cooper S MK3

Only 1572 of these cars (MK3 1275S) were built in total, with only 792 destined for the home market and so are now scarce, even more so in their original format.
Subjected to a complete ’nut and bolt’ rebuild. Genuine ‘S’ shell with the correct 4 flute sills, original stamped LP883 vented steel wheels, retains it’s hydrolastic suspension.
Most hydro cars were converted to ‘dry’ many years ago, losing much of the character (and comfort!) of the early cars.
All consumables were replaced with quality new items. Any missing trim etc was replaced with either new old stock, or good used items where appropriate. Reproduction items have been avoided wherever possible. The original interior with reclining front seats was in excellent condition, although it was necessary to replace the headlining.
The engine original genuine ‘S’ and gearbox have been rebuilt, along with the carbs and ancillaries.
