DESCRIPTION

1998 John Cooper Sports LE 1 of 100 Ever Made.
This mini was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Cooper’s victory in four Saloon Car Championship races in 1968.
They made 50 in black and 50 in Brooklands green both with a V on the front wing for British Vita Racing.
This very rare limited edition mini is also a ‘one owner’ mini on just 10300 miles from new.
In 1999 when the mini was on 1363 miles it was taken to John Cooper Garages and converted to S Works 90 BHP specification costing £1874.75.
Then in 2001 the 4 speed gearbox was removed and a new 5 speed, close ratio gearbox fitted with short shift gear change costing £2200.94.
This gearbox makes the mini accelerate strongly through the gears as you are always on the sweet spot of the engines performance.
It also has Mini Sport alloy front brake callipers with vented discs and alloy Minifins are the rear.
The suspension is adjustable for height and also smoother as it has the Moulton Smooth Ride Kit fitted.
The rear radius arms are adjustable for correct wheel alignment and tracking.
The interior is unique to this model with full dark green leather seats and part green leather steering wheel.
The dash has been ungraded to allow for more gauges which are all in magnolia which looks great.
The dash and gauges where professionally installed and wired.
The speedo was also replaced to match the new clocks in 2009 when the mini was on 7347 miles and it is now showing 2950 miles giving a total of 10297 miles.
The speedo slightly over reads so there is a GPS digital readout for an accurate speed display.
It also has a ‘start button’ which is fun to use.
I have a thick history file with every past MOT and every invoice from new including the original bill of sale and all of the important invoices for the work done.
The past owner tells me that it has never been taken out in the rain and has always been garaged from new.
To find another example of this model on this mileage, as a ‘one owner’ car with the S Works conversion and a 5 Speed gearbox would be nearly impossible and this could well be the only one in the world.
