1988 Austin Mini City E 1000

For sale a 1988 Austin Mini City E 1000 with the mini sportpack style body look which looks great on this model mini. RHD model imported to the US from the UK. All relevant import documentation, taxes and fee's are paid and will be provided with the sale.

Red with the white bonnet stripes and a red and black updated interior including black bucket seats. The car has the fuel-injected 998cc inline-four single-carb paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. 77K miles on the clock, and whilst we cannot guarantee it's true mileage it looks to be pretty accurate.

- New filters, hoses, plugs, dizzy cap/rotor and race spec cables
- New alternator, starter motor, igntiion coil, battery and wiring tidy up
- New radiator, housing and hardware inc. hosing
- Fuel system inspection, filter and tune up
- Brakes, Steering, Suspension, safety points check-up / fluids
- New Mountney wheel, gear knob, rear seat detail
- Custom parcel shelf in a dark stained Birch
- Aftermarket exhaust, updated seating
- Full detail, including paint correction and treatment, interior detail
- Engine tune up, carb clean and refresh, new seals where needed

Further details include chrome bumpers, ultralite multi-spoke black alloys which sare in good condition, original badges and 4 good tires on the car at 175/50R13. The tires unfortunately are not matching but a combination of Dunlop and Nankang. The interior has had newer carpet fitted. It is definitely not concourse level but it does the trick, and the headliner is slightly worn in some places and could do with replacing. The door panels aren't bad but are missing one or two surrounds and levers. All lights, fans and levers tested and working. Trunk space is relatively clean.

There are no signs of any structural damage. Several areas are showing some paint bubbling, some minor areas of rust which are shown in the photos and a couple of the window seals we can provide the seals for free if you want to make the change (we're fair weather drivers so less relevant). We make sure all of our imported cars went through a recent MOT (US equivalent of an inspection but slightly more thorough) prior to import, which happened early 2022.

Overall a good honest example which with some loving touches and attention will make a really good example. The reserve is priced to sell as we have many more mini's in the pipeline and need to make space.

Please make sure any and all imported cars you buy, whether from us or anyone else, are allowed in your state (california pre-1975 smog req's as an example). Documentation, unless specified that there is a title and/or registration, needs to be completed by the buyer. to obtain that. We will provide guidance where necessary.

Once the auction closes we will contact the winner within the hour, and we will arrange for payment and pickup / delivery. This car will have a final service and check completed prior to pickup/delivery which we will get done this week.
