DESCRIPTION
1980 Mini 1275 GT In classic Snapdragon Yellow.
This very original Mini has been owned for the last 12 years by a real enthusiast who has kept it very good condition.
All of the areas of the running gear have been kept in great order and the main engine was rebuilt around 2000 miles ago.
The original engine now has been rebored with new pistons and bearings plus a SW5 camshaft. It has a rebuilt cylinder head and HIF 44 carburettor which collectively give better performance and refinement than the standard 1275 GT set up.
As a result it drives very well and is comfortable at modern driving speeds.
It also has electric ignition, sports coil and an alloy radiator with switchable cooling fan.
The gearbox is smooth and the whole driving experience is very enjoyable and rewarding.
The interior is in very nice condition with new Newton Commercial carpets and over mats.
The Yokohama A539 tyres add to the comfort and road handling and give it a great stance.
The overall condition and the way this 1275 GT drives will make its new owner very happy.
The history file is extensive and there are some nice period brochures and the original manual and service book as well as spare keys. It has covered 74800 miles from new although most of the running gear has been replaced or refurbished in the last 12 years.
