1970 Austin Mini Mk 3 1293cc

1970 Austin Mini Mk 3 In light blue with an Old English White roof. This mini has been professionally restored to a very high level. The body has been totally stripped and rebuilt panel by panel to a very high standard. It has then been rebuilt only using the best parts. The rebuilt engine and gearbox is a 1293cc with a 3 branch exhaust manifold and new SU carburettor. It pulls strongly through the gears and is great to drive. It retains its original long gear lever which operates well. The oil pressure is strong at all times with a steady temperature gauge. The brakes are 7.5 inch Cooper S discs with a Cooper S servo and master cylinder which operate very well. The suspension is all carefully rebuilt with adjustable height and new shock absorbers. It has an centre exit Maniflow exhaust which looks great and sounds nice. The wheel arches are protected with plastic liners and 2 cans of waxoil have been injected into all cavities. The wheels are original and have been powder coated and have new Yokohama A008 tyres and new hub caps. The interior is immaculate with new Newton Commercial seats, carpets and head lining. The steering wheel is refurbished and the dash area is in lovely condition showing no ware. The boot area is immaculate with a matching spare wheel and it also has a black Newton Commercial boot board and a power cut off switch.



The paint finish and panel gaps are excellent and the whole car is very pleasing to look at and drive. Creating such a car today would cost well over £20,000. It has covered less than 1000 mies since completion.
