DESCRIPTION

1967 Italian job styled mini. This is one of the very last 1967 Mk1 Minis being produced in late 67. Car started out as a super deluxe model.

The car has just undergone a sympathetic rebuild including a full heritage front end and inner / outer a panels and inner flitch repairs. The car was then professionally painted in Island blue which was it's original colour when it left the factory. All new rubbers and seals fitted along with lights and door handles and brightwork etc. Badged as an Austin Cooper due to the spec and engine, and to be my take on the film the Italian job.

Front and rear subframes fully rebuilt with adjustable suspension components to get the geometry spot on. Rebuilt top arms and radius arms aswell which are unique to a hydrolastic car. The displacers have been rebuilt, re hosed and individualised which means each corner can be height adjusted. Original link pipes front to back are retained if you wish to put it back to stock. Cooper S disc brakes and hubs have been installed with braided brake lines all round. The car runs on MED sourced ultralite 10x4. 5" wheels which are exactly the same as the minispares tech del ones. Tyres are Yokohama A032R which grip fantastically.

The car features very rare Cibie 130 concave headlights along with Cibie Oscar driving lamps on an Italian job lamp bar, which has been modified to accurately represent the film cars. Cibie repro stone guards which are new old stock have been fitted as per the film (these are very hard to find). Custom leather bonnet straps have been fitted aswell to make the car look authentic.

Engine spec is a genuine 1071 Cooper S:
* Omega +60 flat top pistons
* En40b crank fully balanced and knife edged.
* AEG177 rods balanced.
* AEG530 (649) camshaft.
* MED race followers and steel pushrods.
* MED vernier belt drive kit.
* MED stage 2 flywheel assembly.
* MED billet race oil filter housing kit.
* MED 1. 5 ratio LDX roller rockers.
* MED Hardy spicer diff output adapters.
* ARP head and rod bolts.
* Cooper 3 synchro box with close ratio S/ C gearset with 3. 9 FD.
* Race spec head 37. 5mm/ 31. 7mm valves.
* Twin H4 carbs.
* High torque starter motor.
* 3mm cometic MLS head gasket
* Maniflow stage 2 race LCB with RCM race exhaust.

The power is a very respectable 97 BHP and will rev to over 8000 rpm when the need arises. Its a very smooth engine.

Priced at £35k due to the spec I feel it is a fair price and whoever buys it will not be disappointed.
